Meet the Instructor

Chereese Johnson


As a global HR leader, Chereese transforms talent strategy into enterprise results—across borders, functions, and leadership levels. With deep experience in energy and financial services at Chevron, Hewitt Associates, and Northern Trust, Chereese has led transformative initiatives in Talent Management, Acquisition, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, Business Partner Services, and Diversity & Inclusion.

A native of the south suburbs of Chicago, IL, Chereese received her Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science and Finance from the University of Illinois @ Urbana/Champaign and Master of Business Administration in Strategy, Marketing, and Social Enterprise from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

In the Houston community, Chereese serves on the Board of Directors for the Avondale House and The Ensemble Theatre.  She previously served on the Board for the NBMBAA Houston Chapter (2012-2020) and contributed to the Community Investment Process/Second Century Vision for the United Way Houston (2016-2022).
