The people who know your system best are moving toward retirement, and the people replacing them need years of judgment in a much shorter window. At the same time, safety and regulatory expectations on your operation keep expanding.
Gas Operator Membership meets that with training that reaches your entire workforce instead of an approved short list. Every operating membership includes the SGA Training Subscription for every employee at your company, with no seat limits.
Your membership includes unlimited access for your entire workforce across two delivery formats.
On-demand courses your people can take on a night shift, between jobs or during a slow week, without scheduling around a class.
Scheduled sessions taught by practitioners who work in this industry, with unlimited seats for your company.
In-person workshops and conferences are priced separately. Subscription holders receive 15% off registration.
Operating membership includes three categories. All three include the SGA Training Subscription.
Distribution members operate gas distribution facilities, or both distribution and transmission facilities. Transmission members operate gas transmission facilities without major distribution facilities.
Organizations that own, operate or manage municipally or publicly owned natural gas distribution systems providing gas service to the public. SGA Membership dues are based on meter count.
For organizations whose principle gas business is operating as a producer or marketer of natural gas. SGA Membership dues is a flat fee.
For every member holding the SGA Training Subscription, 90% of the subscription covers training, 10% is dues and none is allocated to lobbying.
Nearly everything your company pays comes back as workforce development.
Membership is corporate, so every employee of your company is a member. That opens the rest of what SGA does.
Peer access. Unlimited use of the member directory and members-only online forums, connecting your team to counterparts at 200 operating companies and 300+ industry partners.
A seat at the table. Eligibility to serve on 50+ committees and councils, and eligibility for one seat on SGA’s Board of Directors, Executive Council, Pipeline Safety Council and Inclusion & Diversity Council.

Support when it counts. Eligibility to participate in the Mutual Aid & Assistance Program.
