Why would you like this position?

I changed companies in March 2025, having 15+ years experience at a utility now working for a contractor – I would like to remain engaged in our various gas associations to continue to build and leverage my network and experiences.

What talents and/or perspectives can you bring to the committee, committee activities, and committee events?

15+ years of utility experience in a variety of engineering, operations and corporate roles, 20+ years of continuous improvement experience, 10+ years of helping plan conference and committee events.

Why would you like this position?

I would like to be part of the SGA committee to contribute to the advancement and advocacy of the natural gas industry. I’m passionate about supporting both energy companies and their associates, and I believe that through active involvement, I can help promote the safe and reliable use of natural gas. I’m especially interested in helping organize successful events that bring professionals together and foster meaningful conversations within our industry. I see this as a valuable opportunity to support collaboration, share best practices, and drive continued growth and innovation in the sector.

What talents and/or perspectives can you bring to the committee, committee activities, and committee events?

I bring 16 years of highly relevant experience in the natural gas industry to this committee. Throughout my career, I’ve served as an associate member on several industry associations, giving me a well-rounded perspective on both operations and stakeholder engagement. I’m very active in the natural gas community, attending over 10 conferences annually across the U.S., which keeps me connected to current trends, challenges, and innovations in our field. One of my greatest strengths is relationship-building. I take pride in fostering strong, lasting connections with industry professionals, vendors, and energy companies alike. I have a deep understanding of vendor needs and how to create value for all parties involved in committee activities and events. I have led several company-wide events in my career, as well as served on company boards and volunteer organizations. I understand the challenges facing the industry and have introduced multiple technical solutions to critical issues over my career, and I believe I can contribute positively to committee activities, events, and planning.

I was one of three founding members of Women’s Energy Network’s (WEN) California (CA) chapter and sat on the board for several years. I am still a participating member. I am a member of the Association of Environmental Professionals; the Association of Women in Water, Energy, and Environment; and the National Association of Women Business Owners. I have given several conference presentations as well as virtual presentations for WEN CA. Insignia has won several awards for our training programs.

Why would you like this position?

Our firm is becoming much more active in the national natural gas industry, and I would like to become more involved in SGA to increase learn more and give back to the industry.

What talents and/or perspectives can you bring to the committee, committee activities, and committee events?

I am very organized and can leverage company resources to assist with initiatives. I am an accomplished speaker with more than 28 years of experience in the energy sector. I have worked on many Section 7(c) filings as well as FERC third-party NEPA documents. I have worked closely with former FERC staff and industry leaders.

Why would you like this position?

I would like to serve on the Associate Section Managing Committee because I’m committed to advancing the professional development of associates within our field and contributing to a more engaged, inclusive, and forward-thinking section. Serving on the committee offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with peers, shape programming that addresses the evolving needs of early-career professionals, and build a stronger pipeline of future leaders. I bring a strong work ethic, organizational skills, and a genuine passion for service. I’m particularly interested in helping create opportunities for mentorship, networking, and skills development that make a meaningful difference in members’ careers. Being on the committee would allow me to give back to the community that has supported my own growth, and to help drive initiatives that foster a more dynamic and connected membership.

What talents and/or perspectives can you bring to the committee, committee activities, and committee events?

I bring a combination of strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset that would support the committee’s goals and activities. Professionally, I have 35 years of experience (at the same company) in oil and gas, which gives me insight into the challenges and opportunities facing our industry today. I understand the importance of mentorship, continuing education, and creating inclusive spaces where new voices feel welcomed and empowered. From a practical standpoint, I have experience planning events, managing projects, and working with diverse teams. I’m detail-oriented and proactive, which helps ensure that initiatives are not only well-organized but also meaningful to members. Additionally, I believe I can bring a unique perspective as longtime associate member, which I believe can help the committee broaden its reach and impact. Above all, I’m enthusiastic about contributing to a committee that is shaping the professional culture and development of associate members. I’m ready to listen, collaborate, and help drive efforts that support our members both personally and professionally.
