Event Summary
A Material Test Report (MTR) quantifies the specific chemical and physical properties of a particular manufactured pipe. An MTR serves as a crucial document in the pipeline industry, certifying that the pipe meets the necessary standards and specifications, acting as a guarantee from the manufacturer to the supplier or end user. Learning how to read a Pipe Material Test Report is essential for ensuring quality and compliance, enhancing safety, cost efficiency, building trust and credibility, and supporting quality control assurance throughout the pipeline process. This class will provide a comprehensive guide to reading and interpreting Pipe MTRs, ensuring participants leave with practical skills and knowledge tailored specifically to the needs of the pipeline industry.
Attendees will receive 2 Professional Development Hours (PDH) upon completion.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this class, participants will:
- understand how to read and interpret a Material Test Report (MTR)
- apply this knowledge to ensure the quality and compliance of metal products
