Pipeline Safety Management

Virtual, Instructor-Led

Event Summary

Pipeline operations are governed by complex safety regulations and standards, yet many organizations lack a fully integrated understanding of how safety management programs, regulatory requirements, and operational practices work together. Without a structured approach, safety efforts can become fragmented and reactive.

This can lead to regulatory violations, increased risk of incidents, and gaps in safety performance. Inconsistent implementation of safety programs may result in operational disruptions, environmental impact, and significant financial and reputational consequences, especially in a highly regulated industry.

This course provides a comprehensive, practical overview of pipeline safety management, connecting regulatory requirements with real-world operations. It covers key elements such as PHMSA regulations, integrity management, construction and inspection fundamentals, and recent updates from the PIPES Act—while emphasizing the value and benefits of a proactive safety program.

Participants will be able to understand and apply safety program requirements, identify compliance risks, and implement best practices that improve overall pipeline safety performance. They will leave with the knowledge to support safer operations, stronger compliance, and more effective risk management.
